The People's Farm Coffee (PF) was sourced from some of the 400 farmer families living near the Murundo Washing Station. The small coffee farms are located in the Mahembe sector and lie at an altitude of 1700 to 1800 m above sea level. Kivubelt has won the prestigious Cup of Excellence awards with People's Farm coffee. In addition to coffee, the farmers also grow other crops such as beans, bananas, vegetables and sweet potatoes for their own use.


Roasting & The taste

The challenge with this rich but balanced Rwandan coffee is the even development of the large and very dense beans. Our roast sits right in the small gap between underdeveloped and overdeveloped, highlighting the many facets of the coffee, ranging from the exotic, woody spiciness typical of the terroir to hints of blood orange and refreshing acidity, wrapped in an intense, caramel-like sweetness .


This hand-picked coffee brings a lot of complexity and refreshing fruitiness, which is excellently expressed in a filter.
